More About Meridian System of Energy...
About 15 years ago, practitioners familiar with the world of Acupuncture and Chiropractics began to ask an important question….”Why do clients come in week after week with the same misalignment? Could there be an emotional component in play?” Acupuncture, Chiropractics and other such alternative health treatments are based on the Meridian System of Energy in the body, originally discovered in Eastern medicine and philosophy. The Meridian System is understood to be the collection of paths in the body along which energy flows. This “energy”, called many different things in different cultures, is thought to be that mysterious something that makes us alive…often called vital energy or life force. It is also thought to be part of how the body stores the strong emotions that come with trauma. Through accessing this storage system while in tune with a trauma, the body can be facilitated to release stored emotional charges that are fueling psychological symptoms.
God teaches us in the Bible that all things were created by Him and exist in Him and through Him (John 1, Acts 17:25) It is the Spirit of God sustaining creation that causes us to be alive. So while the New Age community may think they're manipulating an impersonal universal “life force”, they are really tapping into God's remarkable creation in the mind-body connection.
