I had a client who was involved in a horrible accident. An impaired individual lost control of his truck and drove into her salon. She was trapped under the truck for many, many hours. A crane had to come and lift the truck off of her. During her time under the truck, hot fluids were dripping on and burning her. When I worked with her, she had paralyzing anxiety and could not drive any longer due to fear of the unknown and what if. I saw her over a year after the accident. She could barely handle being in a vehicle with others driving. We worked for a handful of sessions and she was able to start driving including driving to her appointments at my office which is approximately 15 miles of driving, across town on busy streets, including in the snow!
